The advantage of Vietnamese arts

In 2019, Lunet Art Galerie impressed the critics, artists and specially art-loving community by organizing successfully the Lacquer exhibition entitled: “Son Ta Voc Viet”. For the outset of 2020, Lunet Art has put much effort to collect, curate, nearly 40 lacquer artworks followed the theme “expressionism and abstractionism”. The previous exhibition inclined to academy and classical art, this time is abtraction and expression, inform us that lacquer has full quality of an art material”.

Four painter take part in this exhibition are the professionals of expressionism and abstractionism, choose obvious path, has its own language. Regarding the professionals, the expression and abstraction style was born approximately a century ago in the West and is being promoted considerably. That is the modern style, unlike academic, classical style. And lacquer is a special conventional Vietnamese material, which is really Eastern. These artworks display the western expression and abstraction style in a harmonic, refined manner on a Eastern material.

“Lacquer art express the tradition, the interior, is the national advantage of Vietnam, because it is the cradle of this unique art material. With its own exhibitions, Lunet Art take the advantage of Vietnamese culture, as its orientation that all works must have cultural value. We desire to promote lacquer material in Vietnam, to help art-loving domestic and oversea people aware of it, since it is so beautiful, has many talented artists” – Mrs. Luneta shared.
