Lunet Art is an art organization under the form of non-profit social enterprise with main activities are displaying arts, curating, art training, developing and patronizing arts. Lunet Art was established with the desire to contribute and introduce arts to the public in a professional manner, also as a way to help, encourage artists, creating developing steps for them.
Lunet Art Galerie is the displaying space of Lunet Art, although opened newly in October, 2019 this place has become an address to enjoy distinctive and quality arts, loved by art community.
Being different from other galleries, the artists whose works are displayed here do not have to pay any expense but have to go through elaborate curation with major exhibitions like ” Son Ta Voc Viet” or “The artist’s portrait – Sculptor Ta Quang Bao” – Lunet Art has received good compliments from critics and connoisseurs.
Artist Mai Long is one of the 21 students of The Resistance Fine arts course directly trained by prevalent artist To Ngoc Van, when visiting Lunet Art’s exhibitions, he was really impressed.
Artist Mai Long: “The space although small, it creates an intimate, warm and close atmosphere than many vast exhibitions. Through the exhibition displayed at Lunet Art, I see the curators here reached a specific skill and also have a specific love to the artists that they are able to do this. For example, I really like the sculpture exhibition of Ta Quang Bao, the small sculptures are hard to display but what Lunet Art does, I believe it is beyond common. The displaying spaces like Lunet Art are rare, valuable and bring people closer to arts”.
The fine arts researcher Vu Huy Thong: “Through recent exhibitions of Lunet Art which are introduced to the public, I believe this is a path with the desire to honor Vietnamese conventional arts, especially to lacquer material. Lunet Art has reached to the artworks, the artists whom use Son ta, and once again emphasized the value of traditional Vietnamese arts. When Lunet Art do art with professional manner, own orientation and professional organization, the artists always want to be appeared, to be introduced there. I assume this is the most appropriate way to promote the professional art development.
What make Lunet Art became what it is today, Art director – Mrs. Luneta Phan has great merit. Coming from the passion for fine arts, she has established Lunet Art with the desire to contribute to the development of Vietnamese arts. To better understand this organization, we invite you to talk with Mrs.Luneta Phan, the founder of Lunet Art.
Reporter: Can you share a bit about the purpose of establishing Lunet Art?
Ms Luneta Phan: The birth of Lunet Art was derived from my love for arts after years experienced in art. I myself is an art collector and recognize that there are difficulties in collecting – let alone there are no professional organizations of curation. So I came up with an idea: Why don’t I create a professional organization of art curation.
